Microsoft’s commitment to having the biggest exclusive line-up on Xbox One isn’t limited to reeling off a list of familiar brands that’ll satiate the appetite of long-time Xbox fans. It’s an opportunity to completely reinvent and evolve whole game worlds with the added power of the Xbox One hardware. Crackdown represents one such opportunity with its announcement noticeably absent of a number after the title. That’s because it’s not being treated as a sequel, but an expansion of the universe with a heavy emphasis on Cloud technology, which creates a compelling and unique open-world experience unlike anything else you’ve ever played before. Dave Jones, who directed the first game for Xbox 360, returns in some capacity, alongside a development team that has yet to be announced.
