According to its Kickstarter page, DieselStörmers is “a high-octane carnage for 1-4 players featuring customisable motorguns, gas-guzzling knight armour, generated levels and randomized loot!” and so shouldn’t be confused with either a new form of fractional distillate of petroleum fuel oil, or the military wing of Vin Diesel’s fan club. Well, okay, so it could still be confused with the latter, but an clothing brand Diesel has fi led a legal opposition to Black Forest Games’ attempt to trademark the DieselStörmers name. Why? Because Diesel owns the trademark for the word “diesel” across a variety of products and they’re not all overly expensive jeans or perfumes that don’t actually smell like the back ends of trucks. No, really.
